So many times we even as Christians, find ourselves asking the question What if?
In the passage from Genesis where Lot and his family were leaving the city of Sodom and Gomorrah because it was going to be destroyed, we see Lot’s wife look back as to say :
What if?, or what could have been.
God told Lot to get out, there was something better for him and his family, but she was too concerned with What if?
JONAH 4
Here we see Jonah telling the Lord nothing I predicated to happen is going to happen- so I would rather be dead! Jonah was thinking What if things would have gone my way! But you see towards the end of the verse we find out that the God of mercy had a better plan.
What if?
We have to realize that what if is gone and today is here!
What If I would have gone to that college? What if I would have finished school?
What if I would have taken that job opportunity?
What if I was the star athlete?
What if I could have gotten that award?
What if i would have married that person?
You see we have to realize that our What if’s, are nothing compared to God’s What will be!
We are fearfully and wonderfully made, Jeremiah says: He knows that plans he has for us, plans for good, not disaster, to give us future and hope.
God wants us to know : What I have for you far exceed what you could have done on your own.
Your past failures should only be a stepping stone for your future achievements (repeat)
What if we learn form tripping, what if we realize we were wrong a time or 2?
What if we as young people and Christians look past what we see and look into Gods plans for our lives!
So many times we get anxious, when God has got everything under control!
When we get anxious we start asking ourselves what if?
So many times we throw common sense out for anxious ideas (repeat)
When God changes our lives and begins to direct our path- we have to fully realize that he would never harm us!
WHAT IT - maybe everything that we have seemingly lost or had to go without -- really has been the preparation for the WHAT IS and WHAT WILL BE in our lives!
Lets look at What GOD IS DOING - and not on WHAT WE didnt do...."WHATEVER IT TAKES"
